The Fall of the House of Usher fine art print, celebrating Edgar Allan Poe's gothic masterpiece.
The center image was orginally created by Aubrey Vince Beardsley in 1894. The British artist combined pen, brush, and India ink over graphics.
The print depicts Roderick Usher seated near a curtain. After losing his beloved twin sister, Madeline, he places her body in the family vault. Usher is shown in a trance-like state grieving her loss. He fears his sister will soon emerge from the tomb.
"I beheld him gazing upon vacancy for long hours, in an attitude of the profoundest attention, as if listening to some imaginary sound."
A black background and white gothic text was added to the print to achieve a full macabre effect with the title and the author's name.
